The key thing to remember on app stores is that you have a very small space to influence a potential customer. Unfortunately, first impressions count on the app stores so you need to do everything you can to maximise impact and your app marketing strategy. From a customer perspective, this is based largely on your app name and your icon. The name is something that we’ll talk about another time, but the quality of your icon can mean everything. If your icon looks cheap and nasty, well, then the customer may well think your app is cheap and nasty so we can’t stress enough how important it is to spend time and effort in making your icon as good as it can be.Follow me on Google+
